Online Tutor (Part-Time)

Help students succeed, earn supplemental income, and work from home as a part-time, W-2 online tutor for the 2026 Fall semester. Littera partners with K-12 schools and districts nationwide to deliver high-impact, customized tutoring in Reading, Math, and English Language Acquisition.

About the role

As a Littera tutor, you’ll show up consistently, connect with students, and help move the needle on the outcomes that matter most. The curriculum, platform, and scheduling infrastructure are already in place—no lesson planning, no commuting, no weekends required.

U.S.-based applicants only. You must live and work within one of our eligible states. Consistent availability is required; hours vary week to week based on student enrollment and client needs. This role works best for candidates who can commit to a reliable weekly schedule and are comfortable with fluctuating hours.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instructional support during live, scheduled sessions using Littera’s virtual tutoring platform
• Read and interpret on-screen lesson materials in real time
• Build genuine connections with students and create a motivating learning environment
• Adapt your approach to work with diverse learners, offering encouragement and tutoring with care

Requirements

• U.S.-based and able to hold a consistent, committed weekly schedule
• Experience or strong knowledge in Reading, Math, Algebra, or ESL/ELL
• Comfortable using virtual tools: video, audio, screenshare, whiteboard, and chat
• Pass a background check (required)
• Laptop or desktop computer (Chrome browser recommended)
• Reliable high-speed internet connection
• Quiet space with an educational or blank background

Pay

Schedule

• Part-time, up to 25 hours per week (hours vary based on availability and client needs)
• Tutoring hours: 7:00 AM–8:00 PM EST, Monday–Friday
• No weekend sessions
