About the role
The University of Florida's Division of Enrollment Management seeks a service-oriented OneStop Advisor to join their team. This role serves as the front line for admissions, registration, records, financial aid, scholarships, and billing via various channels.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the front line for admissions, registration, records, financial aid, scholarships, and billing via phone, in person, email, and Gator 360.
- Clearly explain UF academic programs, systems, and applicable federal, state, and university rules and procedures.
- Handle high-volume routine requests, tracking and documenting all contacts in the case management system.
- Research issues across multiple student records systems; interpret policies and coordinate with core offices to resolve complex cases.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to OneStop student assistants, and second-tier support for complex cases they escalate.
- Coach and train student assistants on systems, policies, and service standards.
- Participate in ongoing training.
- Contribute to process improvements and special projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned by area leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Familiarity with financial aid, registrar, admissions, billing, or other student enrollment or academic support services through internships, work-study, volunteer roles, or coursework.
- Interest in learning rules and regulations related to student academic and enrollment processes, including policies and procedures.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and empathy when working with sensitive or challenging information and situations.
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with student records systems such as PeopleSoft, Gator 360, or similar platform.
