The role of a registered pharmacy technician involves performing tasks delegated by a licensed pharmacist under their direct supervision.
Responsibilities
- Initiating or receiving communications with patients, providers, and team members to facilitate patient care, including refill authorization requests, assisting in patient appointment reviews, reviewing medical records, and processing prescriptions.
- Assisting with the processing of investigational medications used in clinical trials, ensuring compliance with CFR and GCP guidelines.
- Assisting with the compounding, preparation, and distribution of pharmaceutical and investigational medications according to USP standards and hospital policies.
- Maintaining records and creating reports required by law.
- Processing documents required by the hospital.
Requirements
To qualify for this role, you must possess a valid Florida Pharmacy Technician License and meet the requirements outlined in Florida Statue 465.003(13).
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in pharmacy technology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
