Responsibilities
- Initiating or receiving communications with patient, provider, and/or team members to facilitate patient care for: refill authorization requests, assisting in patient appointment review, medical records review, insurance authorization review, processing of prescriptions, including investigational medications utilized in clinical trials in compliance with policies and procedures set forth by the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and/or medications associated with Risk Evaluation Mitigation Strategies (REMS).
- Aiding in compounding, preparation, and distribution of pharmaceutical and investigational medications following USP standards and hospital policy.
- Maintaining records and creating reports required by law.
- Processing documents required by the hospital.
Requirements
Must be a registered pharmacy technician, not a licensed pharmacist or pharmacy intern. Tasks must be performed under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a pharmacy technician training program.
- Current certification as a pharmacy technician.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $21.12 - $32.24 per hour, with actual compensation varying based on location and job-related factors.
