Responsibilities
- Initiating or receiving communications with patient, provider, and/or team members to facilitate patient care for: refill authorization requests, assisting in patient appointment review, medical records review, insurance authorization review, processing of prescriptions, including investigational medications utilized in clinical trials in compliance with policies and procedures set forth by the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and/or medications associated with Risk Evaluation Mitigation Strategies (REMS).
- Aiding in compounding, preparation, and distribution of pharmaceutical and investigational medications following USP standards and hospital policy.
- Maintaining records and creating reports required by law.
- Processing documents required by the hospital.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must be a registered pharmacy technician who is not a licensed pharmacist or pharmacy intern. You must perform pharmacy tasks and duties as delegated by a licensed pharmacist under their direct supervision, as outlined in Florida Statue 465.014.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a pharmacy technician training program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Pharmacy Education (CAPTE).
- Current certification as a Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPT) from the Florida Board of Pharmacy.
- Knowledge of Florida Statute 465.003(13).

Pay
The salary range for this position is $21.12 - $32.24 per hour. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
