On-Site Service Specialist
About the Role
The On-Site Service Specialist serves as the front-line support resource for employees, clients, carriers, and internal teams regarding benefits administration and client-specific eligibility processes. The role focuses on customer service, inquiry resolution, data entry, document management, and process support while maintaining compliance with state insurance regulations. This is a primarily client-facing position located at a client worksite (Miami Dade County Public Schools in Miami, FL) Monday through Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm.
This is an unlicensed position. You will be able to explain client processes and eligibility rules, assist with administrative forms and data entry, and direct employees to available resources. Without a license, you may not explain insurance plan design details (deductibles, copays, etc.), recommend specific insurance plans, or enroll employees in insurance coverage.
Responsibilities
- Respond to member, client, carrier, and internal team inquiries via phone, email, and written correspondence.
- Research and resolve service-related issues using critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Perform accurate data entry and document management.
- Support client-specific administrative processes and eligibility requirements.
- Track and report performance metrics and service guarantees.
- Prepare reports, correspondence, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with clients, carriers, and cross-functional teams.
- Maintain a professional and positive on-site presence at client locations.

- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
- Positive, professional, client-focused demeanor.
Associate degree preferred, or 3–5 years of experience in the following areas:
- Customer service
- Employee benefits
- Insurance
- Medical office administration
- Claims processing
- Data or technology systems support
