On site Senior Industrial Maintenance Technician 2nd Shift,

Pitney Bowes is hiring a full-time, onsite Industrial Maintenance Technician III in Indianapolis, IN. Base pay is $30/hour with an additional $1/hour for 2nd shift (2pm–10:30pm, Monday–Friday).

About the role

You are a performance-driven contributor who troubleshoots, repairs, or diagnoses complex mechanical or electrical issues on industrial equipment. You seek opportunities to improve practices, increase efficiency, and reduce downtime of industrial mail-sorting equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex mechanical and electronic repairs of conveyor machines, PLC systems, and other industrial electromechanical production equipment (mail sorters/printers).
• Conduct electrical and mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance, and installations on industrial machinery, including belt/pulley systems, hydraulic and pneumatic components, motors, photo-eyes, relays, drive assemblies, limit switches, proximity sensors, and solenoids.
• Complete preventative maintenance according to industry quality standards.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns or emergency situations.
• Utilize inventory, PM schedules, and work-order systems to reduce downtime.
• Maintain spare parts/supply inventory using EAM.
• Evaluate and assess equipment problems by troubleshooting and completing repairs in a timely manner.
• Use a tablet to track assigned work, machine downtime, and inventory used in repairs.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements

• 2–6 years of direct experience troubleshooting and repairing complex industrial mechanical equipment.
• Strong familiarity servicing conveyor machines, PLC systems, and other industrial electromechanical production equipment.
• Experience using a multimeter or other electronic testing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, charts, service manuals, and parts diagrams.
• Familiarity with Windows PC environments as they pertain to automated equipment operation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, including troubleshooting equipment problems, reading schematics, establishing priorities, and working under deadline pressures.

Pay

$31.00 per hour ($30 base rate + $1 shift differential).
