On-Site CSR

About the role

Under general supervision, fulfills customer orders accurately and in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction. Primary contribution is processing orders for customers and selling Motion Industries’ assets. This position works more than 50% of the time at the customer location.

Responsibilities

• Orders items to ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained for consignment customers.
• Sources products from branch inventory, distribution center inventory, or supplier inventory.
• Identifies and sells Motion Industries’ assets, locating products when necessary.
• Influences gross profit by negotiating sale and purchase prices within set parameters.
• Proactively generates sales by promoting Motion Industries’ products to existing customers.
• Expedites backorders and may pull inventory to prepare orders for shipment.
• Adjusts non‑contract customer pricing to meet competitive demands while maximizing profit.
• Minimizes branch freight cost by selecting the most cost‑effective fulfillment method.
• Routinely interacts with customers to obtain and fulfill orders correctly.
• Interacts with suppliers as needed to obtain pricing for items.
• Partners with Account Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Assists customers by troubleshooting via telephone or email and identifying correct parts.
• Attends training sessions regularly for professional growth and development.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Responds to customer inquiries, provides quotes, and takes orders via telephone, fax, email, electronic methods, or walk‑in (counter sales).

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multi‑task and manage time effectively.
• Moderate computer skills, including information processing, email communication, business systems, and internet product searches.
• Good driving record.
• Reliability, organization, and attention to detail.

Pay

$18.00 – $22.63 per hour (base pay only). Overall compensation may vary based on geographic location, skills, education, and experience.
