On-Call Banquet Server

About the role

We’re looking for dedicated On-Call Banquet Servers to join our team and bring events to life at Town and Country Resort. As an On-Call Banquet Server, you’ll play a vital role in creating memorable experiences for our guests by assisting with the setup, service, and breakdown of events in our expansive 295,000 square feet of convention space. This flexible role is perfect for those who thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and enjoy being part of a team that delivers world-class service for weddings, corporate galas, and conventions.

Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet rooms and event spaces according to the specifications outlined by the Banquet Event Order (BEO).
• Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and timely manner.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items to address guest inquiries or special requests.
• Monitor guest needs during events, providing excellent customer service throughout.
• Collaborate with the banquet team to ensure seamless event execution.
• Assist with the breakdown and cleanup of event spaces, ensuring all areas are restored to their original condition.
• Adhere to all safety and sanitation standards, including proper food handling procedures.
• Assist in other duties as assigned to keep the events running efficiently.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in banquet or event service is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and adapt to changing event needs.
• A positive attitude and commitment to providing outstanding guest experiences.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and move quickly for extended periods (up to 8 hours or more).
• Lift, carry, push, or pull items up to 50 pounds (e.g., trays, chairs, tables, and banquet equipment).
• Perform repetitive motions such as bending, stooping, and reaching.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with periods of high activity.
