Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate, air-ready broadcast schedules and program formats across multiple linear and digital networks using proprietary scheduling systems.
- Cook up scheduling and rapid reprocessing of time-sensitive programming, including primetime events, to ensure uninterrupted 24/7 broadcast operations.
- Review and reconcile traffic logs, implementing scheduling and formatting updates resulting from programming, commercial, or operational changes.
- Schedule and distribute program clearance orders to owned-and-operated stations and affiliate partners.
- Validate broadcast playlists to ensure proper resource allocation and hardware readiness prior to air.
- Execute contingency scheduling for live events and sports, including join-in-progress (JIP), filler programming, and schedule adjustments to return networks to their planned timelines.
- Collaborate closely with On-Air Operations, Commercial Operations, and Program Operations to resolve scheduling conflicts and ensure broadcast accuracy.
- Aid in troubleshooting scheduling and playlist issues to minimize on-air disruptions.
- Utilize broadcast scheduling and traffic systems including TLL, WebScheduler, OTTO, WideOrbit, Sintec, Streetlite, and related applications.
- Support a 24/7 broadcast operation by working a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Experience supporting broadcast operations, master control, traffic, scheduling, or television programming.
- Familiarity with broadcast scheduling, traffic, or playlist management systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to schedule accuracy.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple operational teams.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and urgent programming adjustments.
- Comfortable working flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with broadcast scheduling systems such as WebScheduler, WideOrbit, Sintec, Streetlite, TLL, or OTTO.
- Experience supporting live programming, sports broadcasts, or other time-sensitive television operations.
- Knowledge of television traffic, commercial operations, or master control workflows.
- Familiarity with linear television playout, playlist validation, and affiliate distribution processes.
- Experience working in a 24/7 broadcast or network operations environment.
