Oliver Wyman – Consumer, Telco & Technology – Senior Consultant or Associate

Responsibilities

• Managing the execution of individual project workstreams, including developing hypotheses; managing data collection, model creation and analyses; conducting primary and secondary research; creatively tackling information limitations; and surfacing insights
• Synthesizing findings into written presentations; reviewing and discussing with clients and other stakeholders
• Supporting our Partner group in project delivery through accurate and high quality execution
• Reporting to Engagement Managers and Principals, effectively seeking guidance for technical expertise or senior-level advice on project execution and client engagement
• Coaching consultants and helping them develop their skill sets

Desired Skills and Experience

• At least 3–6 years of relevant experience, ideally with a top-tier strategy consulting firm (or similar organization)
• Experience within Retail, Consumer Goods, Telecommunications, Software/Technology, Media industries preferred
• Familiarity/experience with a range of analytical tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python)
• A strong background in strategic problem solving with demonstrable analytical skills
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in both formal and informal settings
• An undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program
• Willingness to travel
• Initiative and a readiness to learn new skills and apply existing ones
• Creativity to generate novel ideas for clients’ biggest problems
• Aptitude for analytical work, including extracting insights from large data sets and identifying key issues in complex challenges
• Ability to work fluidly and respectfully with a talented team

Pay

The applicable base salary range for this role is $135,000 – $205,000 CAD. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
