Overview
Global Connections to Employment (GCE) is a nationwide team providing jobs for people with significant disabilities, including war-wounded veterans. Since 1986, GCE has helped match team members to fulfilling careers, from custodial services to facilities maintenance and food services, plus other business lines in between. GCE is one of the country's largest private employers of persons with disabilities.
On-the-Job Training (OJT)
- Must be referred to GCE by Division of Vocational Rehabilitation
- Must possess oral and written communication skills
- Able to follow directions and ask for clarification
- Assignments are subject to supervisory capacity and there is no guarantee of permanent placement
- Consists of work-based activities where the trainee learns through practical and relevant experiences at various sites
