Oil & Gas Business System Analyst (Downstream) - Relocate to Saudi Arabia, Permanent Expat Relocation Package
Overview
We are seeking a Lead Business Analyst to join our Downstream Transformation & Business Excellence Department (DST&BED). DST&BED supports the Downstream Admin Areas by defining, designing and delivering digital capabilities that enhance operational performance and enable data-driven decision-making. The organization provides expertise in process improvement, digital enablement, user experience, solution governance and capability development.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, analyze and document business requirements for downstream digital solutions.
- Participate in solution ideation, design sprints and user interviews to synthesize user needs.
- Benchmark best practices and evaluate existing technologies and market solutions.
- Evaluate current operating practices and recommend improvements aligned with digital transformation and value creation objectives.
- Provide product ownership support by defining features and refining user stories for clear design and development.
- Translate end-user requirements into solution features and detailed functional specifications.
- Define user acceptance criteria and ensure user stories are prepared for development.
- Support the development of future customer journeys and digital roadmaps.
Minimum Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor’s of Science in Chemical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
- Have 15 years’ experience in the Oil and Gas Downstream (including refining), with at least 10 in the development and implementation of digital solutions.
- Have a strong knowledge of the development of digital solutions and technologies.
- Proven experience as a business analyst in complex digital programs.
- Able to collaborate effectively with engineering, operations, and digital solution teams.
- Knowledge of business process modeling: Identify the current state of business processes (As-Is modeling) and envision the improved future state (To-Be modeling).
