Oil and Tire Changer - Budget Truck - FT

Starting pay: $20.00/hour. Factors which may affect starting pay may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

About the role

Join the Avis Budget Group team supporting Budget Truck operations. This role is a great opportunity to gain experience working on a fleet of newer vehicles across multiple brands while building a strong foundation in automotive and truck maintenance. You will perform preventive maintenance and light repair work on our fleet of box trucks and cargo vans, directly supporting customer safety, vehicle availability, and a smooth rental experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and light repair work, including oil and fluid services, tire repairs and rotations
• Complete all tasks in a safe and quality-focused manner
• Assist more experienced technicians with additional repairs and diagnostics as your skills develop
• Drive a Budget Truck on public roads for testing or operational needs

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License (Class A, B, or C)
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude or prior auto maintenance experience
• Comfortable working in a mechanical shop with moderate to loud noise levels
• Basic computer skills, including typing and data entry
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds, continuously stand, bend, reach, walk, sit and kneel frequently, enter, exit and drive vehicles
• Able to obtain DOT medical clearance
• At least 21 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
• Regular, on-site presence required; this position cannot be performed remotely

6 months auto maintenance experience or completion of an automotive technical school program is a bonus.
