Heavy Duty Mechanic - Budget Truck - FT

Responsibilities
- Perform essential mechanical repairs and maintenance on a diverse fleet of newer moving vans and box trucks across multiple brands with minimal technical supervision.
- Oil and fluid services, lubrication, tire repairs, brake and suspension work, and warranty-related repairs based on your experience level.
- Assist senior technicians with more complex diagnostics and repair procedures as you continue to grow your skills.
- Drive a Budget Truck on public roads for testing, repair verification, or operational support as needed.
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License (Class A, B, or C)
- Minimum of 2 years of professional auto repair experience
- At least 1 ASE certification, with the ability to obtain 2 additional ASE certifications within the first year
- Working knowledge of ASE certification areas including, but not limited to: Engine Repair, Drivetrain/Axles, Suspension/Steering, Brakes, Electrical, Heating/Air Conditioning, Engine Performance, and Light Vehicle/Diesel
- Comfortable working in a mechanical shop with moderate to loud noise levels
- Must have a complete set of tools required for automotive repair and maintenance
- Basic computer skills, including typing and data entry
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, continuously stand, bend, reach, walk, sit and kneel frequently, enter, exit and drive vehicles
- Must be at least 21 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must be able to obtain DOT medical clearance
- This position requires regular, on-site presence and cannot be performed remotely
- Previous Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) experience is preferred and considered a strong advantage
