Office Technician II
Part-time position with benefits. On-site at 288 North 1460 West, Salt Lake City, UT 84116. Background check required.
About the Role
Incumbents perform a wide range of general and agency-specific office production tasks requiring strong keyboarding, data entry, word processing skills, and a working knowledge of well-established terminology, rules, procedures, and computer software applications. Tasks include typing from transcription and draft copy, processing agency documents, assisting the public with forms and applications, locating and assembling records, and maintaining files.
Other duties may include opening and distributing mail, and performing support duties related to job development such as administering tests or evaluating results.
Responsibilities
- Types and prepares reports or other written materials from source documents or transcription.
- Prepares and/or processes documents; reviews for accuracy and completeness; updates information and evaluates against policy; compares elements for consistency.
- Receives calls and/or greets visitors, relays messages, responds to requests for information, and directs callers/visitors to appropriate individuals.
- Maintains and/or creates files or record-keeping systems.
- Sorts, labels, files, and retrieves documents or other materials.
- Verifies data entry by comparing source documents against input data using automated verification systems or dual entry.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications (or equivalent, e.g., Google Workspace).
- Detail-oriented with strong oral and written communication skills.
- Prior clerical experience.
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to emergency coverage needs.

Pay
$12.79 - $21.41 per hour.
