About the role

The Office Support Assistant IV position at Missouri S&T provides advanced administrative and office support services that contribute to the efficient operation of university departments. Responsibilities may vary by department but generally include serving as a primary point of contact, providing professional customer service, maintaining records, scheduling, preparing documents, assisting with purchasing, supporting departmental projects, and interpreting and applying university policies.

Responsibilities

  • Serving as a primary point of contact for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
  • Providing professional customer service in person, by phone, and through email correspondence.
  • Maintaining records, files, databases, and confidential information.
  • Scheduling appointments, meetings, events, and reserving facilities.
  • Preparing correspondence, reports, forms, and other administrative documents.
  • Aiding with purchasing, invoice processing, travel arrangements, and other business operations.
  • Monitoring and updating departmental websites, calendars, and communication materials as needed.
  • Supporting departmental projects, programs, and events.
  • Interpreting and applying university policies and procedures.
  • Performing a variety of administrative and office support duties requiring independent judgment and attention to detail.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other office technologies.
  • Experience providing customer service in a professional environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Qualifications

Benefits

The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $15.50-$20.32 hourly. Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
