Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service to guests and all other employees by exceeding our mission statement.
- Lead by example and carry out our Five Star Experience to Guests and all Team Members by fulfilling our Mission Statement, Service Promise and following department service standards.
- Continually coach and support Team Members to ensure they have the skills, tools and resources to successfully complete their jobs, including the delivering of the Five Star Experience expectations.
- Practice, support, and always promote Spotlight29 Casino & Tortoise Rock Casino Five Star Experience company-wide service mission and service standards.
- Answer and screen incoming calls and arrange conference calls if needed.
- Aid departmental personnel in the use of computer software/hardware and forms.
- Compose correspondence from rough draft regarding a wide variety of subjects.
- Research, compile, and type statistical reports.
- Cookordinate and arrange meetings, prepare agendas, reserve and prepare facilities, and record and transcribe minutes of meetings.
- Establish updates and maintain manual filing systems and computer software programs.
- Explain time and activity, overtime and industrial leave policies in order to coordinate work functions and provide information for employees.
- Gather and summarize data for briefs, reports, and correspondence from computerized tracking system and manual files in order to provide accurate information.
- Greet visitors in person in order to provide assistance and/or refer to appropriate staff member.
- Maintain personnel records, including vacation and sick leave, as well as prepares bi-weekly payroll time sheets for approval.
- Review and distribute department’s in-coming mail and then forward to appropriate staff member for response and prepare outgoing mail for pick-up.
- Order offices supplies, repair services, plaques and awards; track and picks up order.
- Prepare various forms and requests (e.g., purchase requests, purchase requisitions, travel requests, Team Member Corrective Actions, etc.).
- Prepare/distribute bulletins and newsletters regarding a wide variety of subjects.
- Query Electronic Mail System (EMS) and/or Lotus Notes in order to obtain information for section personnel.
- Remain current on modern office and job-specific procedures through job-related training courses in order to apply appropriate methodologies.
- Review and proofread a variety of information to ensure accuracy of information, consistency with administrative policy, format, and working and grammatical correctness.
- Maintain excellent communications with all Directors and Supervisors.
- Implement approved departmental policies and procedures.
- Ensure the budget for the department is monitored and adhered to by implementing effective processes and procedures.
- Prepare necessary data for the budget in area of responsibility.
- Keep abreast of competitive changes including industry trends and local competitive set.
- Develop, maintain and nurture a positive work environment.
- Responsible for maintaining a disciplined environment and implement practices that promote safety, quality and productivity.
- Help coordinate and supervise training, assignments and development of subordinates.
- Ensure compliance with all Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) as well as all Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS).
- Present a positive image of the Tribal organization to its guests and vendors and to assist them as required.
- Must follow all safety policies and procedures and attend all scheduled safety meetings and training as a condition of employment.
- Able to make difficult decisions in a fair and honest manner.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
- Supervisory Responsibilities: Manage directly and indirectly all employees of the Maintenance Department.
- Adhere to the Tribal organization’s policies, procedures and applicable laws.
- Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities which include but are not limited to: interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications
- High School Degree (or GED)
- Five (5) years (or equivalent) Supervisory/Management experience.
