We are looking for an experienced Office Manager to join our team in Auburn, Alabama. This role ensures safe and comfortable transportation for passengers while upholding high standards of professionalism and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Calculate and input driver and staff payroll into the system for processing, transmit payroll, verify paychecks, and monitor overtime to ensure payroll procedures are followed.
- Provide support by responding to questions and concerns regarding payroll, personnel records, and employee profiles, including telephone and email correspondence.
- Drive routes periodically.
- Manage driver and staff payroll and leaves of absence, including FMLA and Workers Comp tracking.
- Maintain personal data and confidentiality of sensitive employee information and records.
- Assist with preparation of monthly and annual financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and labor laws (WO9).
- Educate employees on benefits provided.
- Prepare and submit all hourly employee HRIS profile and EAF employee change forms, including new hires, hourly rate changes, and terminations.
- Perform daily input and reconciliation of hourly employee vacation and sick leave accrual and usage.
- Responsible for charters reconciliation.
- Assist the General Manager in accurately tracking overtime to reduce unnecessary punch hours.
- Answer phone/email and respond to employee inquiries.
- Handle special administrative projects and additional duties as required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- 1-3 years of professional experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent oral, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with employees of all levels.
- Problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in data input.
- Ability to perform numerical detail work with speed and accuracy, including difficult mathematical computations with or without mechanical assistance (e.g., operating a calculator by touch).
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and 10-key data entry.
- Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
- Subject to DOT drug testing and physical, if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
Physical Requirements
- 90% of work is indoors in air-conditioned or well-ventilated facilities; 10% is outdoors.
- Performs physical activities requiring considerable use of arms and repetitive hand-wrist-eye and finger motion, including extensive computer work.
- Must be able to sit for long periods (up to 6–8 hours per day).
- Limited light lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, bending, and reaching required.
- Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds occasionally throughout the workday.
- Lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch for files or equipment stored at ground level.
- Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing duties; tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise.
