About the role

This position provides general administrative support for the Astemo Rock Spring office. She/he will assist in ensuring that all administrative tasks are organized and completed on an as needed basis, assist in the day-to-day administrative functions and the delivery of a wide variety of programs within the office. A high degree of initiative and ability to achieve results is expected, as is the ability to work efficiently in a diverse and collaborative working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve overall company goals including OSHA safety compliance, ISO 14001 Environmental Compliance, Ethical & Legal compliance, Customer Quality, Production to Plan, and Delivery Performance.
  • Promote a Safety-First Attitude and provide a safe work environment by following all required corporate safety policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Create necessary documents (work instructions) to help aid with training for finance department activity.
  • Show attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping.
  • Ensure delivery of projects as per direction given by site and regional management.
  • Fulfill tasks assigned by a supervisor and perform clerical duties.
  • Provide substantial administrative support and learn technical skills related to the industry.
  • Organize, prioritize, and delegate multiple projects to meet project deadlines.
  • Report task completion and updates monthly, quarterly, and yearly.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma.
  • Some college education (degree in production or logistics preferred).
  • Experience in an office environment preferred.

Qualifications

  • Preferred skills: Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Glovia / Leading to Lean.
  • Ability to use office equipment.
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment.
  • Good problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to build friendly work relationships.
  • Strong leadership skills.
