Summary
The Office Clerk plays an essential role in providing administrative support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the bakery central kitchen department office.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients, visitors, and team members warmly and manage incoming calls, emails, and other communications professionally and courteously.
- Create, update, and manage physical and electronic files and databases to ensure accurate record-keeping and easy information retrieval.
- Review and follow up on purchasing orders (POs) to help maintain efficient procurement processes within the bakery department.
- Collaborate with the bakery team to track inventory levels, monitor stock levels of office supplies, and ensure that necessary items are replenished in a timely manner.
- Maintain and organize office equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition, and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the bakery office area.
- Provide general administrative support to the bakery department, including photocopying, faxing, and handling mail distribution.
- Aid with data entry, spreadsheet creation, and report generation to support bakery department operations.
- Support the management team with scheduling, coordination of meetings, and other administrative tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with various departments to facilitate effective communication and information sharing.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous office or related experience is a plus.
- Currently possess or willing to obtain a CA Food Handlers Card.
- Demonstrated computer literacy with Microsoft Office Suite and/or SAP.
- Ability to work assigned schedules, including weekend, and holidays as needed.
- Bilingual in English/Mandarin or English/Spanish is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on professionalism and customer service.
- Detailed mindset with excellent organizational skills to manage files, records, and office supplies.
- Proactive and adaptable approach to handling tasks and solving challenges.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Physical Requirements
This job may require standing or walking for extended periods of time, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing repetitive motions.
Working Conditions
This job is performed in an environment that may have exposure to heat, noise, and other environmental factors.
Position Details
- Employment Type: Full Time
- Working Hours: Monday: 6:00am to 2:00pm
Tuesday to Saturday: 8:00am to 3:00pm - Location: 6401 Regio Ave, Buena Park, CA 90620
- Available to work on flexible schedules, such as weekends and holidays as necessary.
