About the role
The role involves assisting in the processing of permits and inspections for various projects within the city.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the review and approval of permit applications.
- Coordinate with contractors and applicants to ensure compliance with city regulations.
- Issue inspection reports and follow up with property owners for necessary corrections.
- Handle incoming correspondence and maintain records of all permit and inspection activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in office administration or similar field.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of local building codes and zoning laws.
- Basic computer skills including proficiency in using email and internet.
