About the role

The role involves assisting in the processing of permits and inspections for various projects within the city.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the review and approval of permit applications.
  • Coordinate with contractors and applicants to ensure compliance with city regulations.
  • Issue inspection reports and follow up with property owners for necessary corrections.
  • Handle incoming correspondence and maintain records of all permit and inspection activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in office administration or similar field.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of local building codes and zoning laws.
  • Basic computer skills including proficiency in using email and internet.
