About the Role
Make a meaningful impact behind the scenes of behavioral healthcare as an Office Administrator supporting a New York State behavioral health facility in Syracuse, NY. You'll support a statewide behavioral health organization dedicated to providing comprehensive psychiatric care and recovery-focused services for adults with serious mental illness. The team works collaboratively to deliver inpatient and outpatient treatment, promote patient safety, and improve mental health outcomes while supporting individuals on their path toward recovery and community reintegration.
Responsibilities
- Enter, verify, and maintain data in electronic record systems.
- Scan, file, and process documents and correspondence.
- Answer phones and provide administrative support.
- Schedule meetings and maintain calendars.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail.
- Maintain office files, records, and office supplies.
- Operate and perform basic maintenance on office equipment.
- Assist with general administrative projects as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of clerical or data entry experience in a professional office.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional communication and customer service skills.
Schedule
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM (37.5 hours/week).
