This opportunity is with a major global manufacturer of materials science and technology products, headquartered in the Corning, NY area, supporting the company's technology and R&D community. The role covers for admins across the organization when they're out or on leave, giving exposure to multiple departments, leadership levels, and project teams rather than a single fixed desk.

Responsibilities
- Serve as floating administrative support across departments, stepping in wherever coverage is needed
- Manage calendars, coordinate meetings, and handle scheduling for multiple leaders and project teams simultaneously
- Book and manage domestic and international travel through Concur and American Express
- Process expense reports and purchase orders through Concur and PeopleSoft
- Coordinate new hire onboarding, including IT requests, space setup, and e-TAD facilitation
- Plan and manage logistics for department events, meetings, and customer visits
- Prepare presentations, spreadsheets, graphs, and Power BI reports as requested
- Maintain and update SharePoint sites and MS Teams pages
- Handle domestic and international shipping and receiving coordination
- Support records management, audits, and special projects across departments
Requirements
- 3+ years of administrative experience in a corporate environment, or an AAS in Business Administration with 2 to 3 years of experience
- Demonstrated proficiency building reports and presentations, with strong general computer skills
- Ability to shift priorities quickly and support multiple teams without losing accuracy or professionalism
- High degree of discretion, with regular exposure to confidential personnel and business information
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable working with all levels of an organization
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PeopleSoft and Concur
- Previous experience supporting a corporate R&D or technology organization
Pay
The pay rate for this position is $19.00/hr. Final pay is based on a variety of factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
Schedule
40 hours per week, typically 8am to 5pm.
