About the role
The Anoka-Metro Regional Treatment Center (AMRTC) is seeking a Nursing Staff Coordinator to assist the Nursing Administration Officers and Units in coordinating staff scheduling and providing backup clerical support to the Nursing Department.
Responsibilities
- Checking the scheduling system daily for shift changes and any other variances from scheduled staff hours.
- Filling schedule and other staffing needs with intermittent employees.
- Making schedule changes.
- Scheduling float employees to cover nursing units.
- Answering phones, directing calls, taking messages and relaying information.
- Greeting staff and directing to appropriate area and providing assistance.
- Checking schedules/rosters for errors and notifying appropriate personnel for correction.
- Providing backup assistance as requested.
Requirements
- Word processing skills sufficient to develop and modify a variety of correspondence, records and reports; perform mail merges, develop forms and charts.
- Data entry skills sufficient to create database records and update entries or create and apply the basics of spreadsheets and supply/retrieve information in databases.
- Spreadsheet skills sufficient to develop and modify basic spreadsheets and sort and extract data.
- Typing/keyboarding skills sufficient to take meeting minutes; complete a variety of reports, letters and data summaries.
- Math skills sufficient to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers and decimals, as well as calculate averages.
- Customer service skills sufficient to provide information to clients, including phone calls and walk-in contacts in a helpful and courteous manner.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications include word processing, data entry, spreadsheet, typing/keyboarding, math, and customer service skills.
- Additional requirements include reference/Background checks and documentation of TB clearance.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay
$21.12 - $28.01 per hour.
Schedule
Rotating Shift, 6a-2:30p, 9a-5:30p, 2p-10:30p.
