Full-time, unlimited (permanent) position. Rotating shifts: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM. Schedule varies and includes every other weekend. Not eligible for telework.
About the role
The Anoka-Metro Regional Treatment Center (AMRTC) is an acute psychiatric facility providing services to adults with mental illness. As the Nursing Staff Coordinator, you will assist Nursing Administration Officers and units by coordinating staff scheduling and providing backup clerical support to the Nursing Department.
Responsibilities
- Check the scheduling system daily for shift changes and variances from scheduled staff hours.
- Fill schedule and staffing needs with intermittent employees.
- Make schedule changes and assign Float employees to cover nursing units.
- Answer phones, direct calls, take messages, and relay information.
- Greet staff, direct them to appropriate areas, and provide assistance.
- Review schedules/rosters for errors and notify appropriate personnel for correction.
- Provide backup clerical assistance as requested.
Requirements
- Word processing skills to develop and modify correspondence, records, reports, forms, and charts; perform mail merges.
- Data entry skills to create and update database records, apply spreadsheet basics, and retrieve information.
- Spreadsheet skills to develop and modify basic spreadsheets, sort, and extract data.
- Typing/keyboarding skills to take meeting minutes and complete reports, letters, and data summaries.
- Math skills to add, subtract, multiply, divide whole numbers and decimals, and calculate averages.
- Customer service skills to provide helpful and courteous information to clients via phone and in-person contacts.
Additional Requirements
- Resume must clearly describe experience in the required skill areas.
- Reference and background checks will be conducted prior to appointment.
- Documentation of freedom from tuberculosis (TB) via a blood test is required before employment; TB skin tests are not accepted.
Pay
$21.12 – $28.01 per hour.
