Off Campus Federal Work Study, Arts Administration Assistant
About the role
This posting is for Work Study positions at the Muncie Arts and Culture Council (Muncie Arts), an approved off-campus site. Employees are paid from Federal Funding and vetted through the Financial Aid process. Positions are hired on a per-semester basis.
Responsibilities
- Support board and committee management, including meeting notes, presentations, etc.
- Manage and draft grants, particularly for Mayor’s Arts Awards, Artist Spotlight, First Thursday, public art, tabling, outreach, etc.
- Support operations, including research and writing for communications, building management, administrative support, such as file management.
Requirements
Students with office experience, plus an interest in arts and culture are preferred. A criminal background check will be conducted on the selected applicant.

Preference given to students with office experience and an interest in arts and culture.
Skills
Office experience, familiarity with arts and culture, ability to manage projects remotely.
