About the role

Perform major overhauls of gasoline and/or diesel engines. Diagnose and troubleshoot, replace and/or repair electronic systems. Provide on-the-job training to lower-level mechanics. Work collaboratively across the district with other maintenance garages. Work nights, weekends, and holidays, and be on call especially during snow and ice.

Requirements

• 48 months of experience in repair and maintenance of a variety of vehicles and/or agency-identified equipment; valid commercial driver's license required if motor equipment is of type and size regulated by sections 4506.01 and 4506.12 of Ohio Revised Code.
• Or 24 months of experience as an ODOT Mechanic, 52152; valid commercial driver's license required if motor equipment is of type and size regulated by sections 4506.01 and 4506.12 of Ohio Revised Code.
• Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above, except for mandated licensure.
