About the role
Permanent ODOT Mechanic position in Cuyahoga County, Euclid, performing maintenance and repair on vehicles and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and service on cars, trucks, and equipment.
- Perform minor repairs or other related mechanical work.
- Maintain records of repairs & maintenance.
Requirements
- 24 months experience in automotive repair & maintenance of a variety of vehicles and/or all types of equipment identified by the agency.
- Or 12 months as an ODOT Mechanic Trainee (52151).
- Valid commercial driver's license required if motor equipment is of the type and size regulated by Ohio Revised Code sections 4506.01 & 4506.12.
- Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment (except for mandated licensure) is acceptable.
- Successful candidate must submit to urinalysis for illegal drug use prior to appointment; a positive test will disqualify.
