ODOC – OSP Correctional Sergeant Lateral Transfer Request (Salem)

Responsibilities
- Serve as a lead worker, ensuring facility operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently.
- Supervise AICs during movement assignments, monitor high-security areas, and conduct security operations such as transports, searches, and emergency response.
- Play a key part in staff development, assisting in training and potentially mentoring subordinate staff as a Field Training Officer (FTO).
- Lead by example, modeling professionalism, accountability, and behaviors that support rehabilitation efforts.
Requirements
You must be a current ODOC Correctional Sergeant employee to be considered for a lateral transfer request.

Skills
The successful candidate for this position must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility.
