An Ocotillo Technology Fabrication (OTF) DefMet Shift Group Leader (GL) works a compressed schedule and reports directly to department managers.

About the Role

The GL is responsible for the performance, development, and employee relations of technicians working on shifts. The group leader will create and execute a roadmap to meet goals against area/shift metrics in safety, quality, availability, velocity, affordability, and training. The candidate may also be responsible for other activities including IMT and Production leadership.

The DefMet SGL communicates quality messages to the factory daily, owns EDI performance, and collaborates with module SGL teams to find manufacturable quality solutions. The candidate will role model the culture and set standards for expectations, demonstrating leadership with a proven track record of delivering results through people.

Responsibilities

  • Set priorities for the team, get results across boundaries, ensure an inclusive work environment, develop employees, and manage performance.
  • Supervise the activities of product teams or staff in a manufacturing area.
  • Assess personnel and material levels to determine production schedules.
  • Assign personnel and monitor the flow of work in process through the manufacturing facility.
  • Establish operating policies and procedures, coordinate multiple functions within a manufacturing facility, and ensure production schedules are met within quality and cost objectives.
  • Ensure overall safety of personnel, company assets, and the surrounding environment.
  • Plan and schedule daily tasks, using judgment on problems requiring deviation from standard practices.

Requirements

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are a plus.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in the semiconductor fabrication industry.
  • Process engineering or Yield experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated aptitude to interact with vendor field service engineering support and manufacturing technicians on toolsets.
  • Previous people management and/or leadership experience.
  • Technical expertise within Semiconductor Process engineering and ability to provide technical direction on quality issues.
  • Data analysis skills and a good understanding of basic statistics.

Schedule

This position operates on a Compressed Work Week schedule of 12-hour shifts from approximately 6 PM to 6 AM. Shift 6 (Nighttime) covers the back half of the week: Wednesday–Friday nights and alternating Saturday nights.

Pay

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $89,010.00 – $170,630.00 USD. The range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Work Model

This role requires an on-site presence.
