Ocean Import Coordinator

What You'll Do

• Coordinate and manage ocean import shipments
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, carriers, brokers, and vendors
• Send arrival notices and provide shipment visibility updates
• Arrange deliveries and support cargo release processes
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements, company procedures, and regulatory guidelines
• Monitor shipment milestones and maintain accurate documentation
• Communicate additional charges such as demurrage and detention proactively
• Collaborate with customs brokers and internal teams to ensure timely cargo movement

What You Bring

• 1-3 years of freight forwarding experience, preferably in ocean imports
• Cargowise experience required
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple shipments and deadlines
• Knowledge of shipping documentation and Incoterms preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
