About the role
We are seeking a full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA/COTA) to join our team in a Skilled Nursing Facility.
Responsibilities
- Select and implement therapy activities per the supervising occupational therapist's plan
- Assist residents with daily activities and monitor their performance
- Encourage residents and document progress as needed
- Teach residents the safe use of assistive equipment
- Collaborate with OT to develop rehabilitation plans
- Maintain a cooperative relationship with healthcare team members
- Follow evidence-based practices aligned with American Occupational Therapy Association standards
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited OTA program
- Current New York State OTA License
- Experience in skilled nursing or geriatric care preferred, but new graduates with relevant experience are welcome
