Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Full-Time

About the role

Seeking a full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA/COTA) to work in a Skilled Nursing Facility. We are offering a $5,000 Sign-On Bonus for this position.

Responsibilities

• Implement therapy activities following the plan of care set by the supervising occupational therapist
• Assist residents with daily activities and monitor their performance in therapy sessions
• Encourage residents and document progress as needed
• Teach residents to use specialized equipment to support daily functions
• Collaborate with the OT to develop rehabilitation plans
• Maintain cooperative relationships within the healthcare team
• Follow evidence-based practices aligned with the American Occupational Therapy Association standards

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited OTA program
• Current New York State OTA License
• Experience in skilled nursing or geriatric care preferred; new graduates with relevant experience are also welcome
