Occupational Therapist - PRN

About the Role

The Occupational Therapist evaluates, plans, and administers treatments to restore or improve patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional functions, utilizing therapies such as self-care tasks, work skills, muscle re-education, and therapeutic activities. As a vital member of the rehabilitation team, the therapist collaborates with healthcare professionals to deliver personalized, effective care that meets diverse patient needs while adhering to AOTA standards and Maryland scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' conditions and develop treatment plans
• Implement therapy sessions focusing on physical, cognitive, and emotional recovery
• Provide professional, standards-based care to promote patient recovery and quality of life
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to meet patient needs

Requirements

• Current Maryland Occupational Therapy License
• American Heart Association BLS CPR Certification
• Strong assessment and treatment planning abilities
• Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
