Occupational Therapist - PRN

Evaluations and Treatment

• Evaluates participant’s needs.
• Follow-up with participants during treatment, explaining precautions to take.

Supervision and Coordination

• Supervises Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in accordance with the FL OT State Practice Act once a plan of care established.
• Constructs or provides orthotic and adaptive equipment as needed.
• Conducts assessment and coordination of home modification program including installation of equipment and other changes to support independence and safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum.
• Legally authorized, currently licensed, registered, or certified if applicable to practice in the state of Florida.
• Minimum one year of experience working with the frail or elderly population.
• Valid CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Outlook.
• Must have medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations before having direct participant contact.
• Must provide valid FL driver's license and proof of valid automobile insurance, a copy of which will be placed in the employee’s HR file.
