Occupational Therapist / OTR / OT

About the role

The Occupational Therapist evaluates and treats residents, under orders from a physician, through the use of a variety of therapeutic procedures and assistive devices intended to maximize functional potentials in all areas of a resident's life. The Occupational Therapist participates as a member of the interdisciplinary team providing support and information within the area of Occupational Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat residents based on physician orders
• Use therapeutic procedures and assistive devices to enhance functional abilities
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to provide support and information

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
• Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in North Carolina
• Experience working in a skilled nursing facility preferred

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills

Skills

• Knowledge of occupational therapy techniques and interventions
• Proficiency in using assistive devices and equipment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
