About the role

Occupational Therapist responsible for evaluating and treating patients of all ages, serving as a clinical resource and role model for staff and students. Designs individualized care plans integrating goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge strategies.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient assessments, including examinations, screenings, and determining therapy needs using reliable methods.
• Utilizes evidence-based practices, adjusts treatments based on patient response, and monitors care delivered by support personnel.
• Provides patient, family, and caregiver education using effective teaching methods.
• Documents evaluations, treatment plans, progress, and outcomes in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team, communicates patient status, and recommends discharge and equipment needs.
• Supervises Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and technicians, ensuring quality care and compliance.
• Performs patient transfers safely and demonstrates proper body mechanics.

Requirements

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) with valid certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days.
• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field.
