About the role
The Occupational Therapist provides comprehensive occupational therapy services, including screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re-assessment, discharge planning, and documentation. They participate in program planning, protocol development, and team collaboration to meet patient care goals.
Responsibilities
- Conducts evaluations, reviews patient history, performs assessments, and documents findings. Communicates results and involves patients and families in goal setting.
- Implements treatment protocols based on evaluation outcomes, collaborating with healthcare professionals and adjusting plans as needed.
- Completes discharge planning, follow-up care, and maintains accurate documentation of patient interactions and care activities.
- Manages time effectively, maintains punctuality, and demonstrates professionalism and empathy to ensure seamless patient access to care.
- Works flexibly across various settings, participates in quality improvement, community outreach, and marketing activities.
- Contributes to departmental goals, complies with regulations, pursues continuing education, and mentors students and new staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- State licensure as an Occupational Therapist in relevant locations.
- CPR certification from AHA or Red Cross.
