Occupational Therapist I - Neonatal Therapy

About the Role

This role follows a Tuesday–Saturday schedule with rotating holiday coverage, supporting high-acuity infants and families in a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting. Paid NICU experience or intensive neonatal training, such as a fellowship or an equivalent advanced program, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes occupational therapy documentation, billing, and statistics per team guidelines.
• Manages daily caseload with efficiency and efficacy.
• Meets productivity standards per team guidelines.
• Administers assessment tools or instruments to assist in establishing a plan of care and subsequent modifications; manages resources to accomplish patient goals.
• Communicates relevant information to promote continuity of care.
• Mentors assistive personnel and delegates responsibilities as per licensing board guidelines.
• Provides clinical precepting and teaching for students and/or staff under the guidance of the clinical specialist or other subject matter experts; provides regular feedback, coaching, and mentoring.
• Evaluates the learner's performance.
• Assists in the planning and coordinating of clinical programs in collaboration with the clinical specialist or manager.
• Participates in continuous improvement in clinical services by attending and participating in departmental meetings and in-services.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state of North Carolina.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire date.
• Exhibits effective communication and interprofessional skills.
• Requires physical stamina and repetitive movements, including, but not limited to, sitting, standing, kneeling, walking, and squatting during patient interventions while supporting one's weight.
• Can engage in high-level problem-solving to ensure patient safety during mobilization.

Pay

$35.87 - $51.57 per hour (Hiring Range). Pay offers are determined by experience and internal equity.

Schedule

• Full Time
• 40 hours per week
• Day shift
• Tuesday–Saturday schedule with rotating holiday coverage
• Onsite in Chapel Hill, NC
