About the role
Provide personalized occupational therapy services in patients' homes.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients' conditions, identify deficits, and set therapy goals
- Implement exercises to enhance fine motor skills and coordination
- Recommend adaptive equipment to support independence and safety
- Evaluate fall risks and suggest strategies to improve home safety
- Educate patients and families on care plans, exercises, and self-care techniques
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, LPNs, CNAs, HHAs, PTs, and SLPs
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program
- Active OT license in Virginia
- Minimum of 2 years of occupational therapy experience, preferably in home healthcare
- CPR certification and knowledge of home health regulations
