Occupational Therapist - Home Care - Full Time

This position is eligible for up to a $15,000 sign-on bonus.

About the role

The incumbent will ensure the delivery of high quality, safe home occupational therapy in accordance with federal, state, professional, and agency standards and requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized school of occupational therapy with a Bachelor of Science
• Current licensure in the state of primary practice

Experience

Experience working with an adult and geriatric population is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the delivery of high quality, safe home occupational therapy in accordance with federal, state, professional, and agency standards and requirements
• Use independent judgement and excellent planning and problem-solving skills
• Communicate and demonstrate a professional image/attitude for patients, families, clients, coworkers, and others
• Provide population-appropriate therapeutic interventions resulting in positive outcomes as judged by quality monitoring and patient satisfaction
• Supervise and document the supervision of a Home Health Aide or an Occupational Therapy Assistant
• Document the course of patient care including progress made, continuing need for treatment, and response to treatment
• Provide patient and family education on tasks and resources that will assist with continued functional independence
• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities
• Participate in performance improvement management activities and committees sponsored by the agency and the Guthrie Healthcare System
• Contribute to the delivery of cost-effective care, maintaining visit and productivity requirements as stipulated by agency administration
• Travel for this position is always required
• Perform other duties as assigned in the performance of this position

Pay

$35.85 - $56.79 per hour
