Occupational Therapist - Full Time - Home Health (Horry County)
About the role
McLeod Home Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide home-based care in Horry County. This role involves evaluating, planning, and providing therapy services based on physician orders, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and educating patients and families.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, plan, and provide occupational therapy services based on physician orders.
- Collaborate with physicians, caregivers, Occupational Therapy Assistants, Home Health Aides, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Develop individualized treatment plans designed to maximize patient function and independence.
- Accurately document patient progress and maintain compliance with regulatory and agency standards.
- Educate patients and families on treatment goals, adaptive techniques, and home safety.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Current South Carolina Occupational Therapy License.
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association).
- Minimum of six months of experience in home health or another healthcare setting preferred.
- Valid South Carolina driver's license and automobile insurance.
- Must meet McLeod Health driving eligibility requirements.
- Strong communication, documentation, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
