About the role
We are seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our growing team of clinicians. We believe our kiddos and their families deserve the highest quality of care delivered with compassion, excellence, and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Provide therapy services to children with special needs based on their developmental needs and ages.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including teachers, teachers' assistants, occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, nurses, and a licensed psychologist.
- Participate in developmental/psychological testing, nutritional evaluations, and audiological evaluations.
- Ensure that each child's needs are met through a comprehensive approach involving the treatment team and the patient's family.
- Treat children from birth to Kindergarten, and expand services during the summer months to include elementary school-aged children with special needs.
Requirements
- Current Arkansas license as an Occupational Therapist.
- One year of successful experience in a similar position or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer skills including a working knowledge of database, word processing, spreadsheet, and Internet software.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a very busy environment.
- Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and deal with problems.
Qualifications
- Education/Certification: Current Arkansas license as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience/Knowledge: One year of successful experience in a similar position or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Skills/Abilities: Effective communication, strong organizational skills, ability to work with children, basic computer skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, reading and writing abilities, problem-solving skills.
