Responsibilities
- Demonstrate and articulate sound clinical reasoning in treatment planning, implementation, and monitoring of patient progress.
- Recognize when standard patient protocols or treatment plans need modification to meet individual patient needs and report to the therapist.
- Understand the role of therapy in the context of the patient's age, total needs perspective, and environment.
- Perform age-appropriate advanced competency skills in practice with respect to individual patient's problems.
- Assess the learning needs and capabilities of patients and caregivers regarding age, level of understanding, and emotional status.
- Consistently report patient progress/status to the therapist to allow for updates of goals and modification of the treatment program.
- Utilize appropriate methods and materials for effective learning, monitor response to education, and adapt the program appropriately.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Occupational Therapist Assistant
- Valid New York State OTA license
- Good organization, communication, and written skills
- New graduates encouraged to apply

Pay
All rates offered are based on position, years of applicable experience, and employment type. Rate ranges include levels for per diems with no benefits and independent contractors.
