Theradynamics is seeking Occupational Therapist Assistants (OTAs) for a skilled nursing facility in New York. We are a leading contract rehabilitative therapy company in the Tri-State area.

Responsibilities

- Demonstrate and articulate sound clinical reasoning in treatment planning, implementation, and monitoring of patient progress. - Recognize when standard patient protocols or treatment plans need modification to meet individual patient needs and report to the therapist. - Understand the role of therapy in the context of the patient's age, total needs perspective, and environment. - Perform age-appropriate advanced competency skills in practice and with respect to individual patient's problems. - Assess the learning needs and capabilities of patients and caregivers regarding age, level of understanding, and emotional status. - Consistently report to the therapist patient progress/status to allow for updates of goals and modifications of treatment program. - Utilize appropriate methods and materials for effective learning, monitor response to education, and adapt the program appropriately.

Requirements

- Associates degree in Occupational Therapist Assistant - Valid New York State OTA license - Good organization skills - Good communication skills - Good written skills - New graduates encouraged to apply! *** All rates offered are based on position, years of applicable experience, and employment type. *** Rate ranges shown include levels for per diems with no benefits and independent contractors.
