About the role

As the Occupational Therapist Assistant - Per Diem, you will provide occupational therapy to patients in their homes to restore them to their fullest physical ability.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all state-specific laws governing the provision of occupational therapy in home care, adhering to the treatment plan set by the supervising OT.
  • Follow the plan of care, instructing and aiding patients in evidence-based treatment within the scope of the occupational therapy assistant and according to state laws.
  • Observe, record, and report to the nurse supervisor and the physician the patient's response to treatment and changes to the patient's condition.
  • Instruct patients, families, caregivers, and other members of the health care team in therapy areas within the scope of the occupational therapy assistant.
  • Function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.

Requirements

  • Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in state of practice.
  • Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.

Pay

$50,852 - $76,277 annual total cash target pay, assuming full-time employment (40 weekly hours) at full productivity. Compensation includes:

  • $24.45 - $36.67 hourly rate for non-visit activities such as orientation.
  • $29.34 - $44.01 per visit point rate for visits, calculated by multiplying the per visit point rate by the productivity points accrued for various types of visits.

Total cash compensation is based on local labor markets, education, work experience, and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role. The number of visits performed each week will vary based on individual productivity targets and the productivity points assigned to the visits.
