Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)

The Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) provides direct rehabilitation care in occupational therapy under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. Responsibilities Include Following treatment plans and documenting patient progress accurately and promptlyAssisting in patient care and therapy activities aligned with department goalsCommunicating effectively with patients, families, and team membersMaintaining confidentiality and adhering to policies, laws, and regulationsSupporting patient safety, rights, and sanitation practicesParticipating in community health initiatives as appropriateUtilizing therapy software and Microsoft Office tools proficientlyDemonstrating professionalism, integrity, and excellent customer serviceAssisting in emergency evacuations and maintaining dependable attendance **Qualifications and Skills:** NBCOT certification and current licensure in the applicable stateGraduate of an accredited occupational therapy program (ASOT)CPR certification (must be current during employment)Preferred one year of experience; new graduates are encouraged to applyStrong communication, reasoning, and judgment skillsAbility to perform physical activities such as sitting, standing, lifting, and moving intermittentlyProficiency in English and basic computer skills **Additional Requirements:** Participate in community projects, uphold professional relationships, and adhere to company policies and conduct standards.
