About the Role
The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) provides direct rehabilitative occupational therapy care to patients under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT).
Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Chart patient progress accurately and utilize therapy software.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Document patient progress and maintain thorough records.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Adhere to safety standards, policies, laws, and regulations.
- Function effectively within an interdisciplinary team environment.
Requirements
- NBCOT certification (renewal optional).
- Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy assistant program (ASOT).
- Current licensure in the applicable state in good standing.
- CPR certification, maintained throughout employment.
- Physical mobility, strong communication skills, and a positive attitude.

- Preferred experience in post-acute care or related settings.
