Position Summary

The COTA will assist in providing occupational therapy services under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist. Your work will support residents in achieving greater independence and improving their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care according to treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist
  • Monitor resident progress and communicate with the OT to adjust treatment as needed
  • Accurately document therapy sessions and maintain records in compliance with regulations
  • Participate in care conferences, team meetings, and in-service training
  • Ensure proper use of adaptive equipment and recommend adjustments when necessary
  • Foster a positive, encouraging environment for residents and team members

Qualifications

  • Current California COTA license
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and clinical reasoning skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and rehabilitation goals
